How Times Change

A little under 2 years ago, I was driving the murdered Rabbit smacking sub-frame off the ground. With the expectation of a child to come, I decided it was time to get something a little more practical for when that time actually did come. The Tiguan was the answer. The modding was going to be kept to a minimum while still ensuring the vehicle was “unique”.

I have had the Tiguan for almost two years now and have been modding VWs since 1999.

This summer was the first time I felt like I just didn’t care anymore.

The Q7 wheels are still sitting in the same location they were placed when I removed them for the winter last year.

The vehicle has been washed 2 times so far this year.

With everything else that is going on and needs to be done now, the vehicle has been put to the back burner and I am not sure if it will ever be removed from it.

We were at least able to get up north (Oscoda, MI) a coupe weekends ago for the first time this year. We had an awesome time being able to get away from the city. The dogs had fun too!

I can’t say for sure, but I highly doubt it.

I guess we can just call it a “break”.

Negative Mud

Well, the conditions we were expecting in Oscoda, MI were not there.

The temperature was not warm enough to keep the mud. Instead, we were welcomed with mud colored ice.

We were smacking sub frame off of the chunks of ice that were built up in the middle of the road.

The other sucky part is the lack of photos that I took while were were up there.

Mudding

We will be leaving tonight for a weekend trip to Oscoda, MI. Not camping outside this time around though. Staying with a friend.

She informed us that the roads are beyond jacked up. Mud is a foot deep.

She said that you CAN’T STOP. You must keep going, flooring it down the street. Otherwise, you will get stuck.

This should be interesting!!!!

The Perfect Weekend

We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. It was the best weekend we have experienced in Oscoda, MI to date. The weather was perfect. Only a few small clouds rolled through. Other than that, it was sunny with a high of 90 degrees both days.

Up To Oscoda

Projekt-GIB will be taking it’s second camping trip to Oscoda, MI this weekend.

The Q7’s have been removed and the stockers are back on.

The roof rack was put on last night. The Thule cargo box will be put on Wednesday night.

Tripped Out

This was the first time I have ever taken one of my vehicles up north for a camping trip. This is the first car that I have ever let one of my dogs in. The trip was nice. We got to go canoeing. It started raining while canoeing and didn’t let up at all. We decided to head back home early.

The Thule was awesome. Without it, there is no way we would have been able to fit everything inside of the Tiguan. It didn’t leak at all either.
